Gearing up for the 2022 Festival!

The Austin Flute Society is excited to present its annual flute festival titled Reuniting and Reigniting on April 8 and 9! The festival will include virtual workshops and performances on Friday evening and in-person events on Saturday at Lake Travis High School.

Flutists of all ages and abilities can engage in our masterclasses, workshops, performances, flute trials, and a special concert, workshop, and master class with our guest artist, Rhonda Larson. Rhonda is known for her original compositions, virtuosic singing-and-playing, use of ethic flutes, and taking the audience on an enchanting musical pilgrimage!

If you have been looking for a place to perform or a reason to dust off your keys, we welcome you to step into our reading room to play some duets, or join us in the festival flute choir which will rehearse and perform on Saturday!

View the full schedule and register today! Festival tickets are free for AFS members and $20 for non-members.

The festival will also feature a wonderful assortment of flutes on display from Carolyn Nussbaum, Powell Flutes, The Flute Finder, and Strait Music Company, as well as vendor booths for Thomas Horter Flute Repair and Win-D-Fender. If you are looking for your perfect new flute or just want to try a few, the Austin Flute Festival is perfect for you.
