Recital: Music for Thought: Flute Works by Underrepresented Composers

A native Houstonian, Julee Kim Walker remains an active performer and pedagogue in the DFW metroplex. She is Associate Professor of Flute at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She received her B.M. from The University of Texas at Austin, M.M. from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from University of North Texas. She serves as Artistic Director of the Texas Summer Flute Symposium, Past-President of the Texas Flute Society, and on the Board of Directors in the NFA. Dr. Walker performs regularly with FlutAria! trio. Her primary teachers are September Payne, Christina Jennings, Karl Kraber, Tim Day, and Terri Sundberg.
