The Austin Flute Choir is auditioning new flutists for our 23-24 Season. Join a community, make music, perform, and have fun!
The Austin Flute Choir was established in 1991 as part of the Austin Flute Society and is comprised of amateur to professional flutists from around the city. Its instrumentation includes piccolos, C-flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes, and a contrabass flute.
The flute choir performs repertoire ranging from classical, modern, popular, jazz, and folk music. The ensemble performs between four and six concerts each year around the Austin metro area. The season typically runs from September to April with performances at recitals, public venues, and the Austin Flute Festival.
