Austin Songbirds was formed in early 2020, during the height of the Corona virus pandemic. Their first performance was at the New World Deli in June of 2020 playing to a small masked audience. Since then, they have performed there on the fourth Friday of every month.

Songbirds are Steve Haskin on classical guitar, A.J. Montrose on percussion, Dave Marsden on guitar, and Alex Coke on flute and sax. Additional featured musicians include Sarah Jane Hargis on flute, Paul Klemperer on soprano and tenor sax, and Paul Roque on trumpet.

Songbirds performs songs of the great American jazz songwriters, the songs of Bossa Nova era, and contemporary popular songs.
AMP is a local performing ensemble dedicated to celebrating Asian-American cultural heritage through music and performance. Inspired by the passage of time, adventures, and connections to loved ones, the performance will feature arrangements and original music from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Violet Evergarden composed by Daniel Kim for flute, violin, and piano. AMP is back to host a magical and family-friendly evening of music to celebrate Asian-American expression and culture. More info and tickets can be found HERE.
All ticket sales will support the musicians and donations to the Austin Flute Society. Each ticket purchased will also be entered into a raffle for a $150 Uchi gift card!
