2026 Details
Collegiate Division
Dr. Julia Escobar, coordinator
Open to undergraduate students only.
Prizes:
Winner: $500* + AFS t-shirt
Runner-up: $300* + AFS t-shirt
Third Prize: Prize Package* + AFS t-shirt
*All three finalists will be entered into a drawing for a masterclass with Haynes artist, Dr. Jennifer Grim. One finalist from the Collegiate division will perform for the masterclass on the afternoon of April 11, 2026.
Senior Division
Isaac Medina, coordinator
Open to students in grades 10-12.
Prizes:
1st prize: $300 + AFS t-shirt
2nd prize: $200 + AFS t-shirt
3rd prize: $100 + AFS t-shirt
4th prize: prize package + AFS t-shirt
*All three finalists plus the 4th place winner will be entered into a drawing for a masterclass with Haynes artist, Dr. Jennifer Grim. One performer from the Senior division will perform for the masterclass on the afternoon of April 11, 2026.
Junior Division
Luis Diaz, coordinator
Open to students in grades 7-9.
Prizes:
1st prize: $200 + AFS t-shirt
2nd prize: $100 + AFS t-shirt
3rd prize: $75 + AFS t-shirt
4th prize: prize package + AFS t-shirt
