Beyond the Basics of Baroque: a Masterclass with Laura Rónai

Brazilian flutist and Baroque specialist Laura Rónai will lead selected students in an exploration of Baroque expression in a virtual masterclass setting (on Zoom). Dr. Rónai is a leader in Baroque interpretation and will discuss how to use ornamentation, tempo, articulation variety, and national styles to create an authentic and expressive performance.

LAURA RÓNAI has a Bachelor’s degree in teaching from UNIRIO (University of the State of Rio de Janeiro), and in Performance from the Purchase Conservatory of Music - SUNY).
